Join the group before you fish

Codes and some shop gates expect you in Unknown Journey. Like the experience while you are there. Skipping this is the most common “code does nothing” failure.

Decision: do social unlocks in the first two minutes, before your first cast.

Redeem codes by level, not greed

Paste 46KLikes–49KLikes as soon as you are level 20+. Save 30MVisits–33MVisits for level 50+. Leave Taiji alone until 500. Contested older codes can wait — a failed redeem teaches you nothing.

Decision: only redeem codes that multiple Sep 2026 trackers still call active.

Sell to Nana, then buy Power

Cash from fish is for rod Power, not cosmetics. Nana is the sell NPC. Biao Di sells rods. Power opens islands; Luck can wait until you are stuck farming a rare craft fish.

Decision: if a rod upgrade does not raise Power, skip it on hour one.

Stop at Bamboo Isle, do not skip ahead

The first real gate is Power 19. Sail with the Compass when you clear it. Fallout (32) is hour-two content; dying for greed on a higher island wastes the tickets you just redeemed.

Decision: bank a Bamboo Isle sell loop before chasing Sovereign.
